Marianne D. Koushouris 

Founder/Principal Designer

Marianne's appreciation for beautiful design started long before her studies in Florence, Italy and her first job as Display Manager at Barneys New York.  It's genetic.  As the daughter of an Italian immigrant (an exquisite tailor of fine clothing) and a Bostonian (the Italian Martha Stewart), she was surrounded by beauty as far back as she can remember.  Her self-taught sketching and spacial planning skills stem from her dapper uncle, a talented architect in Massachusetts and Rome.  

Calvin Klein was her next landing pad where she further honed her skill for creating spaces of visual beauty while balancing fabrics, fixtures and furniture.

Barneys New York asked her to return to oversee a talented group of display managers, as the company expanded nationwide.  She directed floor and fixture layouts, window presentation and all interior visuals.  BNY was a collection of creative geniuses and a world of inspiration all in one place.

Marianne's desire to move closer to home in Greenwich, Connecticut brought her to Waterworks as Director of Merchandising for the growing, luxury bath destination.  Prior to starting a family, her last year at Waterworks was spent in the Greenwich showroom where she focused on customized bathroom design.

When not immersed in design, Marianne loves traveling (especially to Italy), gardening, photography, hunting for vintage treasures,  and long summer days with family and friends in historic Stonington, Connecticut, where nature’s beauty has no limits.
